GHON (2019)

performance for solo voice and tape, site-specific

The last touch of medicine on human body belongs in the autopsy room. In the process of being taken apart and examined, body loses an entity that makes it human. Deconstructing and viewing it through microscopic close-ups turns a person into a corpse, or a thing, as Homer wrote, „dearer to the vultures” than to loved ones.

GHON is a site specific performance built on shifting two perspectives of perceiving (i.e. listening to) a body. The humane macro-scale of a „sounding” individual interferes with micro-scale of „to the bone” corporeal sounds that dissect the perception.

Part of Musica Sanae Festival, performed on the 15th of November 2019, Pathology Building, Museum Kesselhaus, Herzberge, Berlin
